Here are some of the nice things people have said about JJB over the years...

And if you don't believe them, then judge for yourselves: there are now a selection of live videos on YouTube; just go to http://www.youtube.com/ and search for 'Jo James Band'

Very impressed with the new band on Sat. The mix was spot on and the guitarist sounded ace and wasnt lost in the mix. In fact all the band members could be heard. I've seen many a gig where you can just hear drums and vocals, or bass and vocals, and everyone else is lost in the mix. The set list? Pleasantly suprised, from Hendrix to My Chemical Romance to Kings of Leon. I can honestly say that was the best Jo James Band live performance I've seen.

Just to say thank you all once again for the gig on Saturday. So many people said how great the music was.

A special thank you to Jo James and the band for an absolutely brilliant night on Friday the 31st July, 2009. The music was magical and there was a terrific atmosphere.

Me and my friend watched your band at The Cherry Tree last night- And were extremely impressed- we had a great night thanks to your band. You had a great sound and you could hear all instruments perfect and you have a great voice. Thanks for a good night. Also have been listening to the solo stuff and its great.

Liam, The Cherry Tree, 25th July, 2009

So this is just to say a big thank you for ending our perfect day, perfectly. Please pass on our thanks to the band.
Hope to see you soon."

"Had Jo James Band here last Sunday. Great night! Very professional outfit, got everyone up dancing. Jo looked and sounded fantastic. Can't wait to have them back!"

"Jo James Band played Benwell Hill Cricket Club at the end of November and I'm still being asked "when are they coming back?" Well, the answer is "sooner rather than later!". I never like to judge one band against another as each band offers something different, but here is a band that offer everything: fantastic lead vocal; great vocal harmonies and superb musicianship.

"Put all this together and it produces a very tight sound from an  excellent band. Their two sets varied from rock to pop and back again. If you've not seen them before do it soon - you'll not be disappointed!

"Many thanks to Jo and the band. We had a brilliant day topped off by excellent musicians. Hope you enjoyed it because all the feedback we have had has been positive. You will be hearing again from us. Again many thanks for a night we will never forget x"

"Just a quick thanks for Saturday - the band was great - really rocked the joint. We were so pleased you agreed to do the gig - it rounded the day off for everyone perfectly."

Sheena, Wedding at Little Haven Hotel, South Shields

"We all know how difficult it is to get the place "jumping" or "rocking" as well as getting the place 'choca-block'!  Well, Saturday night was just that for us in the Newfield Inn, thanks to a great gig by "Jo James Band"!

"We had them on for the fourth time on Saturday night  - a different mixed set list (which was noticed) and a great performance by them all. Jo really is a 'rock chick'.  They have "got it together" (I think that's the saying) and they just get better each time we see them.

"Thanks to everyone who joined us for a great night!

"I first met Jo from JJB at The Daisy when Little Stevie was playing. After this I went out to a club in Chester where they were rehearsing, to listen to them. I booked them for the Daisy Hill on the spot…The first set included a mix of old and new songs of a more gentle persuasion followed by a rockier second set which got the punters dancing. The Katie Tunstall song and Snow Patrol songs stood out for me. Burning Love was played very well and the popular Ruby went down well. The guy on rhythm guitar filled in with some vocals and even sang one on his own, forgot what it was but I recall it was a 60s song. The Stones (Brown Sugar) was the penultimate song and by popular demand, Sweet Child of Mine wrapped the evening up. The crowd was an appreciable size and was swelled by Jo's family and friends who presumably live nearby. Some of the guys from the bar were also in and were very impressed, shaking (and kissing) Jo's hand after the gig. Jo has a good stage presence, very much looks the part, and this was a cracking night at the Daisy by Jo and the band"

"We were  just opening Easy Street up as a Brand New Venue in the Town and the place had been completely refurbished. I wastrying to encourage live music as we have a clientele fhungry or good quality rock and pop. The facilities in Easy Street are second to none and the acoustics are just the business for good solid rock and I should know!

"Jo James Band was just what the doctor ordered and I was especially impressed by the dynamics in their numbers.  The place was jumping inside (and out - the smokers) as Jo made the classic rock songs her own. It was great to hear my old mate Brian on lead guitar again going through those riffs  like silk.

"The combination of the harmonies by the two females and one male was also an excellent blend that especially filled the choruses of the songs. A great band with an excellent selection of numbers to suit everyone in the audience and it did some, Thanks Jo. Come Back Soon!"

Steve Reay, Manager, Easy Street, Chester le Street, 1st November 2007

"I caught Jo James Band quite by accident one Sunday night at Luma in Sunderland earlier this year. We had never heard of them before but were very impressed with what we saw and heard, so much so that I decided to  book them for my local social club.I decided that a booking for a Saturday would probably be the best night for the type of material we heard them do at Luma but after talking to Jo. it became apparent that they can alter their set list to suit most types of audience.

"We decided to go ahead with the Saturday however and can honestly say they were brilliant, they did a fairly rocky set with numbers from Gun's and Roses, Journey,  ZZ Top and a great cover of Honky Tonk Woman, together with some Snow Patrol and KT Tunstall.
Jo has got a great voice and she is backed by some fine musicians who all provide superb backing vocals

"They went down really well with the regulars and the feedback was excellant, which is always good to hear from my point of view.
Get along to see them if they are in your area, or better still come along and see them when they return to Steels Club next year, you won't be disappointed."

"Having decided, at short notice, to put a band on Saturday 25th August - Bank Holiday weekend to coincide with our "Buskers Music Festival" for the Charity CRY I was advised by a Friend to try the Jo James Band. My brain did summersaults - where were we going to put them inside our venue (a "smallish" village pub after having the day's events outside), would they be to loud was my biggest concern, would the regulars know and enjoy their Rock music, would they go down well after a "buskers" festival, AND would the band enjoy the pub??  I was in a dilemma!!

"The band arrived on the night - In they came with their gear looking as nervous as I was, which was another good sign! And what a show! The sound was great, the music fantastic and from the first track they were a hit and had the audience up on their seats and bouncing around!

"Jo is a REAL "Rock Chick" and the band really enjoyed what they were doing, BUT what was really awesome was that Jo was not the only focal point, the whole band were together as a band and enjoyed each other as well as their captivated audience, both young and oldies! This band is sensational and I have to say, no offence meant, that they are the best we have had!! Every week I'm asked when the band are back to play - Get ready you lot - we have confirmed  Saturday, 12th January 2008

"I for one can't wait to see this band again!  The very best of luck to the band for the future - you are fab!

"We booked Jo's band for our daughter's wedding at Langley Castle. Jo was so helpful in helping us to organise a programme for the evening including an acoustic set and some ceilidh dancing (called to a CD). What a night we had! We were treated to a fizzing champagne cocktail of fantastic rock 'n roll which had the dance floor jam-packed from start to finish. So many of our friends said it was one of the best bands they had heard and lots of my male friends fell madly in love with Jo. Truly the icing on the wedding cake!"
